H-Public, an H-Net listserv for those with an interest in the theory and practice of "doing history" in public.
I'm currently an editor for the list, which is sponsored by the National Council on Public History.
I'm an adjunct faculty member at the B.A. in Liberal Arts program of Union Institute & University. This program started its life back in 1963 at Goddard College, then migrated to Vermont College in Montpelier, which was later bought by Norwich University, which sold the campus and its programs in 2001 to Union Institute. Union is based in Cinncinati, but the B.A. program is still housed in Montpelier, which is why there's a photo of College Hall at Vermont College on the left. I graduated from this program when it was known as the Adult Degree Program. (Confused yet?)
Click here for a link to "Reenactors in the Parks", an ethnographic study I produced in 1999 and 2000 about Revolutionary War reenactors at U.S. national parks. I've also completed ethnographic studies of "traditionally-associated" groups at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site in Pennsylvania and Polish-Americans at Salem Maritime National Historic Site in Massachusetts, and I'm currently working on an ethnohistorical study of farming practice in Columbia County, New York for Martin Van Buren National Historic Site.
Currently I'm involved with a local group called North Quabbin Energy which is thinking about how we can "power down" from our petroleum-dependent economy.

For some other energy-related projects that I find particularly interesting, visit the National Biodiesel Board, the Post-Carbon Institute, the Transition Towns initiative, and the various car-related links on my blog.

For those into Victoriana, here are a couple of its current interesting forms: David Malki's comic strip Wondermark and a couple of sites (click here and here) where you can explore the wonderful world of steampunk.
